Doghandler
The Junior Handling is a competition where not the dog is judged but the Doghandler.
In Junior Handling there are two age groups, the first category is, where the youngs are aged 7-12 and in 2nd one the youngs are aged 13-17 years.
The Junior Handling is mostly carried out at a dog show but there are also shows only about Junior Handling.
The evaluation
The evaluation of the JH is very complicated for the judge has to consider many things like how the handler runs or how to make the forms run with the dog for example a “T” or a “L”.
Typical Handling Dog
Many dealers take dogs at junior handling where it is easy to show but Afghan is actually not a typical handling dog. They are very sensible, and you need a lot of stamina and trust in yourself. Our Afghans prove that it is still possible to use it in Junior Handling. They are not only handled by me but also by others. Judges who know this breed and its nature very much appreciate to see them in Junior Handling.
