It is June 2013, my school year is coming to the end. The summer holidays are knocking at the door. I am counting the days because my parents have organised a basketball camp for me in Fécamp (Normandy-France) in the famous House of Tony Parker.
During one of the last sports lessons in school, during a basketball game, someone pushed me from behind and against the wall near the basketball board I hit myself. Result of the race: broken arm.
At home, my Spanish cocker spaniel Aramis (13 years old) was in poor health. My pet is dying… He is very weak, his days are numbered.
My morale has suffered a severe blow. No camp with Tony Parker and Aramis is allowed to sleep. To make me feel better, I’m looking for a new pet lover. A Bigel, I like him. So I will inform my mother immediately about my decision. She says: “If I got a puppy, it would be an ,,Afghan sighthound’’. What is that, did I ask her? You remember my son, from the famous Czech epic “Cinderella and the three hazelnuts”. Now there in the carriage of the king of the Afghans take their place.
We fall in love
On closer reflection, I decide on my mother’s idea, and suddenly everything follows one another at high speed. A small advertisement on the internet breaks our hearts, and we went on holiday to Slovakia and on the way to the house of the puppy owner, where we fall in love at first sight with a certain C’Karl Lagerfeld All Tiger. One week later we picked him up and so begins my story with the Afghan… One year later I receive a gift from the famous breeder of Afghan Gandamak sighthounds: Vlasto Vojtek.

At a show in Nitra (Slovakia) I was so disappointed that I did not qualify for the main ring. I sadly remained sitting on my seat, folded up on myself. Vlasto came to visit us. Touched by my performance he came to see me. He made me understand that to win, you have to know how to lose, even if it hurts. And to win trophies, you have to have a very good dog and a very good master. Soon my female will have a new litter. I’ll put one aside for you.
